Rene Bach was the Diamond’s new young Dane mid-season last year initially linked with Peterborough as a short-term replacement for Karol Zabik at the start of the 2009 campaign.
He was subsequently replaced in the Panthers team in April by Kenneth Hansen, in order to return to Denmark to complete his studies.
Bach, however, returned to the British scene in June, when he took the place of Steve Boxall at Newcastle and made more than a few eyes glance his way with a good run of well deserved wins and is the latest in the run of new Danes brought into UK speedway by Newcastle which includes Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne Pedersen and Kenneth Bjerre, to concentrate on their top three.
He’s another now benefitting from a second season on Tyneside and it could be a fascinating Danish battle to see who will end up the best at Brough – Rene or Kenni?
