TRENT OUT OF TONIGHT'S MATCH
Sunday 29 March 2009, 14:50 UK
by Paul Williams
Trent Leverington has been ruled out of the clash with Redcar.

It was not only team manager Richard Juul who ended up in hospital as a result of the match at Workington as the popular Aussie, Trent Leverington, was also despatched to hospital as a result of a crash at Derwent Park.

Trent has side injuries and other complications and has been advised to rest for a fortnight, however he has exclusively told www.newcastlespeedway.net that he intends to be in action at the Newcastle Stadium next Sunday for the visit of Sheffield.

The crash came about when former Newcastle captain, Andre Compton, picked up inadvertantly and brought Trent crashing to the ground.

Although the Aussie bravely finished the meeting on Saturday night, he was in great pain and a hospital visit diagnosed the necessity for treatment and the withdrawal from tonights clash.

The Sapphire Engineering Diamonds will use rider replacement this evening against Redcar to cover for Trent's absence in a meeting that gets under way at 6.30pm.
