2003 at Workington. Chris Collins, me, and an unscheduled flight over the safety fence and into the crowd. The concrete steps and terracing did a great job at breaking my fall. Unfortunately it also broke my legs. I remember the next day my mate Graeme (Paterson) and George (English) drove all the way from Newcastle to the hospital in Cumbria with Rachel (Blowman) to be there when I came out of the operating theatre. |
